Position Overview: The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and lease-related accounting activities. This individual will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financials and contribute to process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Perform general accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP Support lease accounting activities, including tracking and reporting of lease-related transactions Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Contribute to the development and improvement of internal controls and accounting processes Support tax filings and compliance requirements (sales tax, property tax, etc.) Collaborate with internal stakeholders and assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 4 years of accounting and/or audit experience Strong understanding of GAAP Experience with financial statement preparation and account reconciliations Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Preferred (Not Required): Experience with lease accounting or contract-based accounting environments Exposure to ERP systems or accounting software Background in equipment leasing, finance, or asset-based industries
