Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. This opportunity is for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of
Hearing to provide dedicated support to a single student in a K-12
school setting. The assignment is a leave contract located in the
Alpharetta, GA area, aligned with the Atlanta Public Schools
district. Services will be delivered strictly Monday through Friday
from 10:20 AM to 11:50 AM EST. Key Responsibilities: Provide
specialized instruction and support tailored to the needs of a
student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Implement individualized
education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with educational staff, families, and related service
providers to ensure a cohesive learning experience. Monitor student
progress and maintain accurate documentation of educational
performance and accommodations. Qualifications: Active Georgia
Department of Education (GA DOE) Certification in Deaf and Hard of
Hearing education. Experience working with K-12 students who are
Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Ability to follow a strict daily schedule
and adapt to the specific needs of the assigned student. Strong
communication skills for collaboration with educators and families.
Position Details: Location: Alpharetta, GA (Atlanta Metropolitan
Area) Contract Type: Leave assignment Start Date: March 17, 2026
End Date: May 22, 2026 Hours: 7.5 to 10 hours per week (10:20 AM to
11:50 AM EST, Monday-Friday) Caseload: Single student Compensation
varies based on experience and ranges as follows: 02 years: $46$49
per hour 35 years: $49$52 per hour 69 years: $52$55 per hour 10
