Job Description:
Duties: Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk,
resources, and quality of assigned projects in planning, design,
execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure phase of
transmission and substation engineering projects. Manage and
capture client facility plans and target client opportunities.
Manage transmission engineering project team financials and report
findings to leadership. Direct client maintenance and development
activities as well as Quality Control processes. Identify and
oversee implementation of effective change management practices and
corrective actions. Perform structural design and analysis of steel
structures and steel connections, concrete foundations, and
in-house design programs applying proficiency in civil/structural
codes and standards. Provide oversight and quality control in
development of internal and client standards, technical
specifications, design guidelines, and manuals for design
procedures, structural materials, and construction. Recruit, hire,
develop, and retain staff. Prepare proposals, assist in
presentations, and participate in contract negotiations. Provide
overall management of projects from concept to completion. Serve as
primary point of contact with client regarding efforts such as
client coordination, strategic planning, master scope management,
budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental
compliance, facility support, and schedule attainment. Ensure the
Project Team is adhering to office Quality Control procedures. Work
closely with the Project Team to confirm deliverables and services
are being provided to client's satisfaction. REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a directly related
field plus seven (7) years of electric utility consulting
experience. Professional Engineering (PE) registration
required. Six (6) years of experience in the following: Will accept a Master's degree + six (6) years of electric
utility consulting experience in lieu of Bachelor's + seven (7)
years of electric utility consulting experience. Travel Requirements: Up to 25% for site visits,
client visits, and technical conferences. 40 hours/week. Day shift.
