Shift:Salary Exempt (United States of America)The Continuous
Improvement Senior Manager drives the implementation of the Altium
Production System (APS) across several pillars/elements of
Operational Excellence, including Safety, Quality, Daily Team
Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and
Continuous Skills Development. The Senior Manager is responsible
for implementing APS in assigned plants, providing leadership and
coaching to achieve operational excellence and maintain employee
well-being.The Continuous Improvement Senior Manager will utilize
strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of leading
and implementing change to:
- Demonstrate leadership, uphold high personal standards, and
develop professional ethics
- Engage with Sr. Operations Director and VP, Manufacturing on
regional loss elimination activities and planning
- Support Operations Leadership in regional loss planning
processes
- Educate, communicate, and collaborate with all levels of
manufacturing employees, including senior leadership, plant
managers, and shop-floor staff
- Plan, lead, and facilitate meetings and working sessions
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Develop and execute detailed project plans
- Utilize computer skills for presentations and spreadsheets
- Train Plant CI Practitioners, Operators, and Plant Leadership
in Altium Production Systems
- Create and drive local loss planning
- Lead cross-functional improvement teams
- Lead local improvement work
- Create APS Element content in collaboration with the Element
OwnerRequired Education and Experience
- 10-15 years of practical experience with Total Productive
Maintenance (TPM), including team development and coaching
- 10-15 years of practical application of TPM and Continuous
Improvement principles
- Manufacturing operations experience, preferably in rigid
plastics and continuous flow manufacturing
- Strong leadership skills and decision-making ability
- Team player with the ability to influence organizational
change
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in an
entrepreneurial environment while implementing APS standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with data organization skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel extensively for remote-based
rolePreferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field such as
business, planning, or supply chain
- Continued interest in manufacturing, continuous improvement,
plant operations/management, and senior management rolesAltium
