Job Description:
Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Surgical Technician
Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per
Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year 6 months of surgical
tech experience required. License: Meditech Experience Required to
Start Certifications: BLS AHA Must-Have: No local candidates within
50 miles. Call coverage required. Shifts vary as needed, running 5
rooms until 1700 as needed. 2 rooms open until 1900, and at 1900 we
go down to one room utilizing the on-call team. Shifts consist of
five 8-hour shifts (0615-1445), four 10-hour shifts (0615-1645),
and three 12-hour shifts (0615-1845). Call coverage averages 8-10
weekdays and 2 weekend days during an 8-week schedule. Procedures
include Robotic Chole, Robotic Hernias, Exploratory Laparotomies,
TLH, Total Knees, Total Hip, Hysteroscopy with D & C, Knee and
shoulder arthroscopies, ORIFs.
