Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in neonatal intensive care in Alpharetta, GA. This contract position offers hands-on work in a level IV/surgical NICU setting, supporting critically ill newborns with a variety of complex diagnoses. Candidates must have at least two years of NICU experience and be prepared to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to float to other units within the hospital campus is required, including coverage in a satellite NICU. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a level IV/surgical NICU, managing complex conditions such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia, meconium aspiration syndrome, necrotizing enterocolitis, and others. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Respond to emergency situations and provide support during critical interventions. Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards. Participate in holiday and weekend scheduling, including availability on or near Christmas. Qualifications and Experience: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. Minimum 2 years experience in a level IV/surgical NICU. Skills in caring for neonates with complex diagnoses including pre/post-operative care. PALS certification required; NRP certification preferred. Ability and willingness to float to other departments and NICU satellite units. Tobacco-free status, with negative tests as required. Mandatory influenza vaccination compliance.
