administration experience Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a
proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They ensure that
patients, families, and significant others receive individualized
high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical
environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders. The
practice is supported through shared governance and evidence-based
practice and research. All RN Clinical Nurses are licensed and
knowledgeable. They uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by
the state Nurse Practice Act. They implement the Scope of Practice
and Code of Ethics Standards set forth by the relevant nursing
association. As a member of the patient services team, it is
expected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient and
system policies. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Perform the Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis,
identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and
evaluation. Use evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to
ensure individualized care. Provide relationship-based,
patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity. Partner
with patients and significant others during care planning and
implementation. Coordinate safe, quality patient care through
effective interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation.
Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration while promoting a
respectful, inclusive clinical environment. Participate in
performance improvement initiatives and support shared governance.
Professional Development and Initiative: Complete all ongoing
professional competency assessments and required education. Serve
as a preceptor or mentor for professional nurses and other staff.
Promote evidence-based practice and participate in nursing research
and performance improvement. Uphold all organizational policies and
relevant standards, including patient safety goals. Participate in
data collection and engage with relevant clinical questions.
Resources and Support: Plan for the care of patients across the
care continuum. Participate in developing protocols and procedures
to achieve best practice outcomes. Support efficient use of human
and material resources. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply
with all organizational policies and code of conduct. Required
Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Nursing, Diploma in
Nursing, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Required
Minimum Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English. Strong
interpersonal and collaborative skills required. Ability to
function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
decisively. Possess excellent time management and critical thinking
skills. Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and
demonstrate basic computer skills. Requirements Required for
