Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide expert perioperative nursing care as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a surgical operating room setting. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering individualized, high-quality patient care. Governed by professional nursing standards and evidence-based practices, the role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration within a supportive clinical environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes using evidence-based approaches. Deliver culturally competent, relationship-based care tailored to diverse patient populations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate safe and efficient perioperative care. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, continuous quality improvement, and shared governance activities. Serve as a preceptor or mentor, fostering professional development and a healthy clinical work environment. Support protocol development and resource management efforts to optimize patient outcomes. Comply with all regulatory, safety, and organizational policies to uphold patient and staff safety. Qualifications and Experience: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current RN license in the state or multi-state compact eligibility. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience acceptable upon successful completion of an accredited nursing program; prior perioperative or clinical care experience preferred. Strong clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and time management skills. Competence with technology to support clinical documentation and patient care. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM with on-call duties as assigned.
