sustainable for years to come. Southwire is looking to hire a
Paralegal to support the Legal Department. The Paralegal will
perform a variety of duties, including reviewing and drafting
documents for the Legal Department. This position interacts with
colleagues in the Legal Department as well as with various
departments and business units across Southwire. The Paralegal will
be part of a team of legal professionals with a mission to deliver
top-quality, strategic and cost-conscious legal solutions to
business issues, leveraging technology to increase efficiency and
drive value to the organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on,
proactive partner who can support a wide assortment of day-to-day
needs and long-term projects. Key Responsibilities Description of
Duties and Responsibilities: --- Responsible for managing various
litigation related processes, including issuing litigation holds,
obtaining documents responsive to third-party document requests and
subpoenas., recording deadlines associated with court cases, and
communicating with court personnel and officials. --- Drafts legal
documents and legal memoranda and performs other related duties
including reviewing and editing legal forms and documents for
accuracy. --- Coordinates with outside counsel on the maintenance
of organizational documents and completion of required filings. ---
Prepares litigation updates for senior management. --- Organizes,
maintains, and tracks documents, files and records. --- Reviews and
processes outside counsel invoices submitted electronically. ---
Monitors legal department email inbox and legal mailbox. ---
Ensures that all required meetings, reports and filings are made in
a legally appropriate and timely manner and in accordance with
corporate policies and procedures, including reviewing and
processing such documents. --- Serves as an integral part of the
Legal Department and, as such, will be required to identify legal,
policy, procedural or other issues and either resolve them
successfully or bring them to the attention of the appropriate
attorney. --- Some administrative functions required including
coordinating events for Law Department employees, submitting
expense reports, and writing correspondence.Long
DescriptionQualifications and Experience --- Bachelor's degree
preferred. --- Paralegal certification or at least 5 years of
equivalent professional experience. --- Must be highly organized,
detail-oriented and able to comfortably deal with many different
types of personalities. --- Strong communication skills, both
written and verbal, is a must. --- Must have the ability to
identify and assess risk and communicate effectively with internal
team members, business partners and outside counsel. --- The
ability to maintain confidentiality of information is imperative.
--- Candidates must demonstrate strong computer skills, including
the ability to create and maintain databases, spreadsheets and
reporting systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and
Power Point. --- Knowledge of eDiscovery software, e-filing
systems, matter management, billing, and legal research tools
preferred. --- Candidate must also be able to read, analyze and
concisely present information from law sources such as statutes,
regulations, regulatory decision, court cases and industry
standards. --- Must be a strong team player with a desire to work
hard and constantly learn. Required Education, Experience, and

equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates:
