Job Description Job Description Defense Litigation Associate — Georgia (Mid-Level) Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid or In-Office Depending on Team) Practice Group: Defense Litigation Experience Level: 3–12 Years Bar: Must be licensed and admitted in Georgia About the Opportunity A highly respected national defense litigation practice is seeking a Georgia-licensed Associate to join one of its expanding litigation teams. The firm is deeply established in the Southeast, offers stable workstreams, and provides a clear path to growth, client exposure, and trial responsibility. Core Practice Areas The firm is open to candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: Employment Litigation Complex Commercial Litigation Construction Litigation Healthcare & Medical Liability Professional Liability Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Environmental & Toxic Tort Product Liability General Liability Premises Liability Transportation/Trucking Defense Candidates with diversified defense experience will be strongly considered. Key Responsibilities The incoming Associate will play a meaningful role in active litigation matters, including: Drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs Handling written discovery and depositions Arguing motions in state and/or federal court Conducting legal research and preparing case strategy recommendations Working directly with partners, clients, and expert witnesses Managing files with increasing autonomy Participating in mediations, hearings, and trials (as available) Trial experience is preferred but not required.
